Campus Crusade for Christ is a non-denominational
international organization whose goal is to give every man, woman, and child an opportunity to know Jesus Christ. CCC
was founded at UCLA in 1951 by Bill and Vonette Bright, who wanted to reach the world, beginning with college students. Since
then, it has become an enormous ministry. There are CCC ministries in 181 countries, and there are over 60 sub-ministires
of CCC as a whole. Some of these include Athletes in Action, The Jesus Film Project, and the Campus Ministry (THAT'S
US!)
What is it?
Our mission is to "turn lost students into Christ-centered laboreres."
Huh?
We want to take the initiative to share the gospel with every student on our campus in an ATTRACTIVE and MEANINGFUL way. We
also want to offer a place of fellowship with other believers, and we want to equip our students to leave college ready to bring Christ to the world -- wherever they go!
How? Since we are just starting a Campus Crusade for Christ on Belmont's
campus, we will be focusing on building a foundation. We will be having weekly cell groups, weekly leadership meetings,
monthly campus outreaches, and LOTS AND LOTS OF FELLOWSHIP! (yay!)
